Quick search
|
You can search and view the images in our archive without previous registration by clicking "guest" under "images" in the menu on the right. You can also download low resolution images in sizes between 300 and 800 pixels. All these images are watermarked.
Registration is only necessary when downloading high resolution images (see below).

Registration
|
Registration is done under “register” in the menu on the right. Your user-ID and password are strictly personal and should be treated accordingly. Topimage.nu does not take responsibility for the abuse of codes. The publishing cost for high resolution images will be charged to the person/company registered. All downloads are recorded. (Agreement.pdf, 200 k)
Several people at the same company can all have their own personal user-IDs and passwords. If you suspect that your codes have been used by unauthorised individuals, we will destroy your codes. Let us know (user@topimage.nu) and we will send new codes as quickly as possible.

Compression
|
High resolution images are compressed to minimise the time needed for downloading. Decompression can be done with Aladin Stuffit Expander. Versions of the program are available for free for both PC and Mac on www.aladdinsys.com. Follow the instructions for installation.

Making a search
|
To reach the search engine, click "images" in the menu on the right. Then select "guest" or "user".
Now you have two search options. "search engine" will take you to the search engine and "categories" gives you the possibility to search via categorical classification.
When you have made your choice and if you logged in as "user", fill in your user-ID and password, then click "OK".
If you choose "search engine", see the picture below. Write down the word (English only) you wish to search for and click "search"

You can also search on parts of a word, and then the number of images found will increase.
All the images are divided into categories (see "Categories", below). This is useful if you are not certain about which word to use in your search.
All the images found are presented on the screen. You can specify how many of the images found will be shown at a time, see the picture below.

Below each image there are four symbols: a Downloading arrow, an infosign, a folder and a basket.

Downloading arrow: Downloads high resolution images. (Not visible in guest mode.)

Infosign: Here you can find limited information about the photo/image.

Basket: If you want to download several images at the same time, drop them into the basket. (Not visible in guest mode)

Folder: Here you can look at all the images belonging to the same category.

Categories
|
You do not have to use the search engine to find the images. The images are divided into categories. If you choose "search engine" when you log in, you will find "Categories" by clicking "Top level". (See picture below)

If you chose to log in via "categories" you will find the folders. By clicking on the different folders you can browse down through the categories. If you want to go back to the search engine, click "search".

Downloading high resolution images
|
At present, not all images on topimage.nu are in high resolution quality. High resolution images that can be down loaded are marked with a "*", for example "BD1553*.jpg"
If the image you want to use is not marked with an "*", i.e. is not available in high resolution quality, let us know by sending the name of the file to us at user@topimage.nu. You will receive an answer, on the e-mail address registered, within 24 hours (weekends excluded). The high resolution image can be downloaded around 24 hours after placing an order.
Tip: Use "*" in the search engine to check which images can be downloaded in high resolution quality.

Ordering images on CD
|
If you order more than one image at a time, we can have them delivered on CD. Let us know by sending an e-mail on user@topimage.nu.

How much does it cost!
|

The cost for using an image depends on the purpose of use, size and circulation.
You can check yourself how much the publishing cost is by clicking “price” in the menu on the right. Select the most suitable purpose of use under the heading “Purpose of use”.
If you cannot find your particular purpose in the list, send an e-mail to price@topimage.nu. Make a brief description of the purpose of use, the size (mm or inch) and in what numbers it will be reproduced.
Your inquiry will be manually answered via e-mail within an hour (weekends excluded).
Remember that you do not buy the image, you buy the right to use it in a particular project in a specified circulation. If you find the image useful for other projects, you will have to send us a new inquiry. Read more under copyright.

Method of payment
|
In Sweden payment is done via invoice. For other methods of payment, please contact us on user@topimage.nu. (Payment via Visa or Mastercard will be possible in future versions of topimage.nu).

Records of downloaded high resolution images
|
When downloading high resolution images, send us an e-mail on user@topimage.nu, and indicate the purpose of use, size and circulation. All downloadings are recorded! If you do not let us know how you plan to use the image, we will send an inquiry to the e-mail address registered. If we have not received an answer within 72 hours, you will automatically be charged the highest possible fee, which is SEK 19.000:-.
A copy of the image as published should to be sent to topimage.nu.
If the image is published on the Internet, please send us the website address. An images published on an Intranet should be sent as a screen dump to user@topimage.nu.
